Lost Fic

I'm saving all my faves tonight, just incase ffn deems them inappropriate. There is one fic that I can't remember the name or author of. It was about Jasper and Bella being married, but not in love... just content. Then Bella meets Alice and falls for her, and then Jasper finds out, but he falls for her, too. It develops into polyamory and in the end, you find out Alice had one of their children, and Bella is pregnant with their second. It was written absolutely beautifully; the style was so intriguing... almost like verse.

Hunger Games Songs

Well, I noticed that a lot of you are catching up with the whole Hunger Games craze.

Even if you aren't and read it a million years ago, feel free to contribute.

Anyway, I have been listening to this song on repeat for the past coupla days/weeks, and I realized it reminded me a lot of Katniss on the Battlefield. It's such a cool song, the hook and beat and riff and... well it' s just fantastic.

So, my question is, do you have any songs that you think fits the Hunger Games really well?

Need recipe help, please!

So I'm not thrilled about this, but I'm gonna give it a shot. After basically having my doctor rip me a new one regarding my somewhat serious health issues that all lead back to my weight, I've decided to make a change to my diet. I've been able to cut carbs and sweets, but what I haven't done so far is ease up on my meat. I'm a carnivore through and through, and my diet is packed with red meat and pork. I'm not a huge chicken fan but do eat it sometimes.

My daughter has been a vegetarian for about a year. She thinks eating meat is wrong and disgusting. I think someone swapped my real baby at the hospital. However, she's not much of a fan of veggies- her diet consists mainly of pasta. I hate pasta and cheese. I love veggies, typically I stir-fry/saute fresh veggies with different seasoning and marinades.

I'd love if you guys could give me some recipes that are meat-free and cheese-free. I know we have several vegetarians in the Forest. I don't want to eat stir-fry every night. Tonight we made tacos with Boca meat, and I got some Smart Dogs for tomorrow. But damn, that fake meat is expensive! Do you have a favorite veggie recipe, or a website that you like to use? We don't need vegan, just no cheese- barf, yuck!!! It seems like all the veggie recipes I find include cheese.

The End that nearly sucked the life out of me.

So this is my first campfire.  I'm so happy.... cut me some slack here if this reads inpersonal, I'm a bit shy. 

I'm hosting a contest, which is appropriately called The End Is Only The Beginning.  This contest is pretty simple, and it goes back to the basics.  Click on the link that will take you to the FF page for the contest for more information, but the reason I'm doing this is because this chapter has always perplexed me and upset me, and I would love to read some creative twists and/or visions how some of you would have liked to have seen it done.

The challenge: Write a one-shot based off of the scene in Chapter 3 of New Moon when Edward leaves Bella. Be passionate, make us cry. Make us angry. Or make us laugh. Parodies are welcome, too. Crackfic is welcome as well. I, myself, am looking for Angst. Passion. Love. Anger. Sticking with our canon couple is highly encouraged, but - BUT - if you can write a one-shot that throws Bella together with another character in 15,000 words that's believable and good, you could possibly have my vote or even the public's. Just remember, it has to begin at or near that pivotal moment. You can use Stephenie's dialogue that is used in the book, just make sure to mark it accordingly. You need to, of course, write your own as well, or change the whole damn thing.

Wanna know what you can win?  Well, I'm flipping the bill for two gift baskets, (Three if there's a tie) One for a one shot choice of my own, and the other is for the voter's choice.  The basket will contain various goodies along with your very own copy of New Moon on DVD upon it's release! Winners will be announced via the contest page, my twitter, (IdreamofEddy) and the Altered Lions and Sacrificial Lambs Blog.

Entries are being accepted now until March 11, 2010, and they're only being accepted via FF.  I can't really branch out to include sites like Twilighted or any other FF sites because (I have issues with navigation and satellite internet, I live in the boonies and loading is an issue..) Public poll will be available from March 12th-17th, winners announced on March 18th.  (I'm doing it this way because the DVD is released on the 20th.)  It's a rather quick contest, and I can't wait to see what I'm sure is just some of the fandom can think up.

Voices

No, I'm not hearing voices in my head not in the bad kind way anyway! So, I just got off the phone with a guy I've been working with to consolodate my student loans (and I've had some major issues with the companies we're trying to consolodate from).  The company is in Ohio, so I assume he's from Ohio, but damn the man has a sexxxy voice!!  He has a slight southern drawl, and it's a little on the deeper side.  Not to mention he cracks jokes and gives me sympathy for my situation which I am at complete fault for which is so sweet! I'm married and love my husband to death, but this man's voice totally makes me want to know what he looks like!  A man's voice can totally get me going, whether it's the naughty little whispers in my ear or it's more primal in a needy and dirty kind of way, I just UNNGGGH!

So, with my confession of naughty thoughts, my question to you all is.... What kind of voices do you find sexy??? Which one of our Twilight men do you find has the sexiest voice?? Is there a favorite line from one of the movies that you love because of the character's voice?  Is there a line from the book that you like or would have liked to hear on screen??

For example, this man's voice is always frakin' hot to me!

Twilight fansites

 This is my first campfire...so here it goes

I have enjoyed being on ADF and find it more accepting and relevant to the content I want to see than a lot of other fansites out there. 

I have been happy to find stories from some of my favorite authors here as well.

I wanted to know what others think about the many twilight sites out there?

Procrastination

I'm sitting here @ work reading fanfics & surfing the forest instead of working.  I have a fic craving.  Please rec me some Rockstar-ward or Actor-ward.  Nothing corny please.  Nothing where Bella falls in love w/ Edward at first sight.

I've already read Tropic of Virgo and Maybe and am currently reading Rhapsody in B (so good btw) and When Fiction Becomes Reality (which needs an update BADLY).  I tried to read Help Wanted but lost interest because Bella became boring.
